All the ore in the game has a sweet spot. This sweet spot is a certain depth measured from the middle of the exposed ore gauge. 0 will be the starting point, 5 is the top and -5 is the bottom. Mining at the sweet spot does not guarantee that you will mine the ore. Also an ore can be found outside its sweet spot and an ore in the same location can even share sweet spots. The only advantage is that you seem to target the ore better getting the given ore more often. When the ability Sharp Vision sets in you will get a much higher ratio of the item you are trying to obtain.
The sweet spot of a ore is always the same no matter what area or grade you are mining in.
